wag Posted January 25, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have received no coding vouchers even though I'm registered as having purchased an M8 prior to 12-31-06. My concern is I currently have 2 lense in line to be coded. If I get vouchers eventually will they apply? Are the vouchers in lieu of the lens discount program? Right, it's for purchase of a new, US-warranteed lens from a US/Canadian dealer. There seems to be confusion on this point. It's not for purchase of a camera. I accidently ran across the grey market exclusion. I submitted my warranty card without adding the extra papers, and then made my request over email. The helpful person at Leica USA first ran my lens serial number through their computer. Because he typed in the "0" at the front of the number, he concluded that my lens was not from Leica USA and must be grey market, thus no vouchers. It took some faxes and phone calls from my dealer to straighten this out, and to discover the source of the error. From the urgency with which this was settled, I gather that it is not a good thing to have Leica USA accuse one of its dealers of selling grey market Leica products.
