Advertisement Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Hi ForeArt, Take a look here Opening RAW FIles. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
01af Posted February 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2011 Download the latest version of Adobe DNG Converter (which currently is 6.3) and use it to convert your D-Lux 4 raw files into DNG raw files. Then you can load the latter into Photoshop's Camera Raw plug-in. Don't forget to change the DNG Converter's backward compatibility mode from the default value (which is 'Camera Raw 5.4 and later') to 'Camera Raw 4.6 and later.' Also make sure you have Camera Raw 4.6 installed.
lumen Posted February 7, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2011 Your Mac should be able to read the D-LUX 4's rwl files natively- if needs be update to Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later and you should have no problem viewing them in CS3 or otherwise. Heres a link to the supported cameras on the Mac Mac OS X v10.6: Supported digital camera RAW formats
stunsworth Posted February 7, 2011 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2011 Your Mac should be able to read the D-LUX 4's rwl files natively- if needs be update to Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later and you should have no problem viewing them in CS3 or otherwise... Unlike Aperture or iPhoto, Photoshop and Lightroom don't use the raw conversion engine built into the OS. Even if you can see the images in Preview, that doesn't mean that you can open them in the Adobe products.
