My first sold large M8 color picture, monted on alu, it's in the entrance of the Norwegian Red Cross headquarters, and the clients are as happy as i am... :-)

(The image is of tree's with a thick layer of rain ice, and lit by the football/soccer field in the backgound at night, handheld at ISO 1250, no manipulation what so ever...)

100x150cm at ISO 1250...how big could it be if it would have been taken with 160 ISO :)

Alexandre, contratulations, as well! It's a very handsome print and deserves to hang in a prominent gallery.

Did you print this yourself? Would you give us the details?

tnx,

Details:

Leica M8, Summicron 35/2 (Pre-Asph) ISO 1250 @ f/2

Printed on Acid Free Fine Art paper with my Epson

9800 PRO, print laminated with a very thin matte finish

on top, and self-adhesive back, then the image mounted

with a press on the ALU plate, and fitted with a 2cm in

diameter wooden frame in senter (back) with mounts for the wall...

(you can't see the wooden frame from any angle, except

if you lift the frame out...and that's the whole point really :-)

(so there is no glass, and no frame,(in front) you can even wash it

off with a soaking wet cloth...)

Hope this covers your questions... :-)

Thanks...

Alexander, did you upsize the photo at all, or is it a straight print using the printer interface?

Also, no noise reduction or sharpening, right?

Would you show a section of this print on the Forum so we can see detail?

tnx,

It's was shot handheld so it's not as sharp as it could be (if i used a tripod)

some camera shake at night of course even at ISO 1250... No NR

I scaled it using bicubic smoother in PS (without sharpening at all)

Here's a sample in "Print Size"

Way to go, Alexander! Now, have you posted that image (the original, not this one) on the Photo forum? If not, I'm sure a lot of us would enjoy seeing it there.

It's now posted at the Photo forum, sorry if this was the wrong place to post :-)
