wag Posted January 24, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted January 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I received today the US price list for all current lenses from Leica. I apparently am on the good list of pre 12-31-06 paid in full registrations. I still don't have the M8 however. Even with the 30%discount, the lens' are hardly a bargain. 50mm Elmar 2.8 is the least expensive at $704 up to the Noctilux at $2735 and the tri Elmar 16-18-21 with universal viewfinder at $2739. These are net prices after all taxes and duty. This is what you pay Leica. I expect all who are registered will receive similar letter any day. If interested I can post entire list. robsteve Posted January 24, 2007 Share #7 Â Posted January 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The noctilux is 3495 Euros on list I received. The WATE and finder 2450 Euros. Big difference between lists. Â If you look a few pages back, Mark Norton posted the new price list for Europe, which had a revised Noctilux price. If you take the European price, deduct the 19% VAT and convert to USD, it comes to $2,673. This is cheaper than the $2,735 US price. I can just assume Leica is not collecting State sales taxes, but just paying the duty on the lenses coming into the USA.
wag Posted January 24, 2007 Author Share #8 Â Posted January 24, 2007 I tried to upload the file but it seems to be too big and violates the forum rules. I scanned the letter with the prices to a 387 kb Jpeg but 244 kb was the max they would accept
