Hans Roggen Posted January 23, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted January 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) First of all, many thanks to Jamie for all his work on the M8 profiles. You did a great job. I love the profiles, but somehow i never seem to get my son's bright red jacket to turn out as red as it really is. It's always a little too yellow. I have been playing with some of the colors with my trial C1 pro version. Feel free to try the new profile. Bright reds and people's lips should be more natural now. elopezso Posted January 24, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted January 24, 2007 Hans, Â So far, I've only tried it on a few pics with red in them but they look great. Will try them on other files soon and report back. Â Thanks for your work! Â Ed

elopezso Posted January 26, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted January 26, 2007 Has anyone else tried this profile out? I think it's really good. Folks may be missing out if they don't at least give it a try. Â Ed

Hans Roggen Posted January 26, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted January 26, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Edmund, Â this is what i get, using my and your profile in C1. Don't look at the picture too much. It's just a crop of a picture of my wife and kid walking in a forrest on a cloudy day. My profile (the first photo) renders my son's jacket exactly as it is. I haven't done anything else in C1, just used the two profiles. Am i doing something wrong with your profile? Â Regards, Â Hans
eronald Posted January 26, 2007 Share #8  Posted January 26, 2007 Hans,  Thank you for the feedback with the images - this is *very* useful for me. You have chosen a very good picture as an example because everything in it is instantly recognizable.  I like this image itself, actually, and as a fashion shooter I like the skin tones on your wife and son in the rendering with my profile.  But it's clear that the magenta in the jacket is not good at all (wrog tone, no detail).  - I assume this is the *new* profile (the one posted in this thread ?) - That is tailored for the 486 filter - are you using one ? This profile does no alteration of the magenta colors as it assumes they are "fixed" by the 486.  Edmund   Hi Edmund, this is what i get, using my and your profile in C1. finkaudio Posted January 26, 2007 Share #9  Posted January 26, 2007 Hi,  I have tried all available profiles. My standard one is now the Jamie standard. I tried the one from Edmund, but the colours are too saturated. I shot outside with no black cloth around , so IR should not have been a problem.  The profile from Hans is not bad, but I miss a little bit of yellow. We shot some orange/red here and what I would really need to match colors on the screen and on the printer is a mix of Hans profile and Jamies profile (it got a little bit too much yellow )  However, both are really nice to work with. Thanks for the work!  Best regards  Karl-Heinz
eronald Posted January 26, 2007 Share #10  Posted January 26, 2007 I posted another two, less saturated, profiles today. See the sticky Jamie Roberts thread  http://www.leica-camera-user.com/digital-forum/9637-new-m8-profiles-c1-instructions-9.html#post153944  Thank you for providing feedback ...  Edmund
