ruiespanhol Posted January 23, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I think to buy new scanner but because the Minolta Elitescan 5400 is to much expensive(O.k is good I know),but not affordable for me now I see this model from Epson and I fell good whit the resolution of 4800x6400 Dpi. Because is less expensive than Minolta Elitescan is one good alternative to this so I would like to say if any of the Leica forum users as any experience whit this scanner model? batmax Posted January 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi Rui, I have that scanner and it works good for the quality and it's also easy to use . I usually scan negatives divided in segments of 25 cm . you can also set up the program interface ( easy, defaul or professional.) I use in professional because have a lot of differents parameters. that's all, max

batmax Posted January 26, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 26, 2007 Rui , another things. if you scann a negative with the scanner I have noticed that is better to don't use the Auto film loader place in the top of the scanner. Use the plastic adapter that you have to place on the glass of the scanner . (the adapter is included with the scanner) This because the negative placed in the auto film loader will not stay flat making not very sharp some part of the image. All the best , max
