Advertisement Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hi samwells, Take a look here You can never get a taxi in the rain. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest lykoudos Posted January 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted January 23, 2007 Hello Sam, Very beautifully and tendencyful. A nearly static peace in an incessant sequence of eternal movement. The down-slid sheet reminds me of all finiteness of the existence. Kind regards Wolfgang
stuny Posted January 23, 2007 Share #3 Posted January 23, 2007 Sam - I really like this for its colors, contrast of still to movement, geometry and implications.
cam2000 Posted January 23, 2007 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2007 Excellent planning on this fine shot....... great saturation of yellow did inhance the composition!
Michael-IIIf Posted January 23, 2007 Share #5 Posted January 23, 2007 Sam, A lovely shot........but, a couple of degrees more to the right and you would have got the 'k' in 'look' included too. That would really have made it for me. Michael
Peter41951 Posted January 23, 2007 Share #6 Posted January 23, 2007 Like the yellow streak and the yellow lines.
samwells Posted January 23, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted January 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks folks for all your kind comments. Michael - of course, you're absolutely right about the missing 'k'...that would've given it that final touch, dammit (memo to self: I must look more carefully thru the viewfinder even when I'm wearing glasses covered in raindrops!). cheers: Sam
fotografr Posted January 23, 2007 Share #8 Posted January 23, 2007 Love that color and action, Sam. Great shot. This is the kind of image stock agencies beg for. They would probably sell it over and over.
samwells Posted January 23, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted January 23, 2007 Brent - thanx for looking. And, well, my secret is that 'cos I'm a designer/art director (aaah..I can hear hissing), I'll bank this and then sell it to myself :-) cheers: Sam
jmr Posted January 23, 2007 Share #10 Posted January 23, 2007 Sam, very nicely realised.
Michael-IIIf Posted January 24, 2007 Share #11 Posted January 24, 2007 (memo to self: I must look more carefully thru the viewfinder even when I'm wearing glasses covered in raindrops!).cheers: Sam Not a hope. I find the viewfinder on the 15 CV to be totally hit and miss. Luckily that lens usually takes in so much you can get away with it. You did very well to frame this in the first place! samwells Posted January 24, 2007 Author Share #15 Posted January 24, 2007 Michael...I'm delighted to hear that I'm not the only one to find the 15mm viewfinder somewhat, er, variable. Dirk - Thanx for your kind comment. Hi José - nice to hear from you...and thanx for looking. cheers: Sam

squanmis Posted January 26, 2007 Share #17 Posted January 26, 2007 I like the picture. I've had this same sense in NYC trying to hail a cab. Thanks for sharing. John
