This is a question for all of the tech experts in the forum. I cannot afford an M8 system, but I would love to have a very small camera system with 3-4 good primes and a bright viewfinder, a kind of Leica CL of the digital age. Olympus and their 4/3s system promise small cameras and small lenses but, in my modest opinion, their size in practice is not smaller than other camera makers (N&C). Mike Johnston wrote an old post in his blog (http://theonlinephotographer.blogspot.com) about his wishes for a DMD (decisive moment camera). So, could be technically done a camera like this???

PS: sorry for my bad english, its not my languaje.

Hola Salvatore. This is an old dicussion here, and sure ...is posible. You have a very good first step with Digilux 2. Put a 4/3 sensor in this cam and you´ll have your digi-CL. Look at the size of Oly E400 and you´ll understand that a compact cam with a good sensor is posible.

Si Leica no lo hace otros lo haran......mira la Sigma d14 (creo)

Saludos Salvatore :)

ultimately its a question of fitting the sensor to lenses you already have, or

starting again, with a digital system and making the lenses and the sensor match

with the M glass Leica made the best compromise

with other systems populated with retrofit 35mm glass

im not so sure much of it is a quality deal
