By the way, the most flare-resistant lens I ever came across so far is the Leica Summarit-M 35 mm 1:2.5. Great lens in all other aspects, too. 75mm Summicron. Thanks for mentioning the Summarit. I assume the current generation of lenses are quite flare resistant and that Leica is continually trying to increase the effectiveness of its coatings. Nice to know they are succeeding. FYI. When I bought my 28mm Summicron I was given the option of buying a used version of the lens. The salesman pointed out that the coatings were different.
