aciel ton anap Posted January 12, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, a newbie here. After reading a lot of the posts here, I've decided on the Leica D Lux 5. What would be your suggestion on my predicament... I can drive 20 miles and get it right away, ask questions on whatever concerns I have, and if something goes wrong I presume I can just bring it back to them to address the problem. OTOH, I can order online and save $50 - $70. The question really is, what are the chances of needing aftermarket service? Thanks.
Advertisement Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Hi aciel ton anap, Take a look here where to buy? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted January 12, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 12, 2011 If price is an issue then why not buy the Panasonic version and save even more? I much prefer to buy from a dealer in person, wherever possible.
andybarton Posted January 12, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 12, 2011 I drive 50 miles to go to work every morning...
aciel ton anap Posted January 13, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted January 13, 2011 You are absolutely right. Saving a few bucks (and a few miles:)) for that peace of mind is not worth it. Thanks for waking me up.
LeicaBraz Posted January 13, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 13, 2011 If read the OP's nickname backwards it's "Pana not Leica" - so wonder what made him change his mind.
philipotto Posted January 14, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 14, 2011 Well, it's backwards, so it really means "leica not pana."
