Rod Carlo Posted January 14, 2011 Share #21 Posted January 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) The top picture appears to be from the LX 5. The two at the bottom are from the M Series. This is my guess.
Advertisement Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Hi Rod Carlo, Take a look here X1 or D-lux5?.. . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Rod Carlo Posted January 14, 2011 Share #22 Posted January 14, 2011 I would guess that the top picture came from teh LXR. The two photos at teh bottom appear to be from teh M series Leica. I have the D-Lux 4 and like it very much.
jsrockit Posted January 14, 2011 Share #23 Posted January 14, 2011 I really have no interest in the X1 so I really don't care what the image quality is. Jesus, that is not the point. The point is that someone asked me with one had better IQ, so I gave my answer which was that it wasn't a contest. You then quoted me saying that it depends on the contest. Since my remark was specifically about IQ, I assumed you were saying that the LX5 had better IQ than the X1 is some situations....which it appears that you were not saying. Comparing digital cameras in bright sunlight with large amount of depth of field will always yield comparible results... so I don't see the point. I never said the LX5 had bad IQ...just that the X1 had better.
Shootist Posted January 14, 2011 Share #24 Posted January 14, 2011 OK But my comment was on not just IQ but the whole camera. Sorry for your confusion.
jsrockit Posted January 14, 2011 Share #25 Posted January 14, 2011 My point was that if your comment wasn't with regard to IQ, then you shouldn't have quoted me.
Dopaco Posted January 15, 2011 Author Share #26 Posted January 15, 2011 I really have no interest in the X1 so I really don't care what the image quality is. I know it is not as good as the M8 and probably slightly better then any P&S. Never really looked at any X1 images on my screen or through my printer. I did do that with M9 images because at one time I was interested in it.Once I got to use a M9 for a few hours and took those images home and compared them to images I took the same day with my M8 I've never even thought about buying a M9. I also used the LX 5 that day. Here 3 shots. One from each camera. Tell me which shot came from the LX5 without looking at the EXIF. Good exercise. I not acerte. Now I have seen the information EXIF and in the size 960 x 600 LX5 I carry very well = o> to M8 and M9.

Digitom Posted January 16, 2011 Share #28 Posted January 16, 2011 You really think the LX5 has better image quality than the X1? When you set the image quality in relation to the price I say definitely YES! When you see the absolute image quality I say NO - any other result would be a sensation. jsrockit Posted January 18, 2011 Share #29 Posted January 18, 2011 When you set the image quality in relation to the price I say definitely YES! That's totally subjective still...
Digitom Posted January 18, 2011 Share #30 Posted January 18, 2011 That's totally subjective still... Sure it is! The whole life is subjective, our hobby is subjectice, because we are not objective - as men is always subjective
