a.g Posted January 4, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 4, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) The more I use the Artist & Artisan "Rina Case," the more I appreciate it. I like to keep things simple. When I travel, I place my M9 with 35mm f/2 Summicron (& hood) in my Rina Case - put that in my briefcase or suitcase & away I go. So simple, so elegant, so small. The camera is well protected, the Rina Case itself weighs hardly anything and is well crafted in black ballistic nylon with a red inner lining. When I go shooting I leave the Rina Case behind (in the briefcase/suitcase) so its just me & my M9. Does anyone else share my experience or do you have a simple solution that you prefer?? Humood Posted January 4, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 4, 2011 My lightest kit is an A&A GCAM 7100 which holds my M9 with 35mm Summilux attached, the second compartment has my 75mm Summicron and the third has my SF-24D flash for those just-in-case situations
Guest cwcheung Posted January 4, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 4, 2011 Mine is A&A ACAM-60 (M9 + Elmar 50/2.8)
peter_n Posted January 4, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 4, 2011 I've used a Rina case for a number of years in my regular business briefcase. Perfect for my MP + 35mm. I'm surprised to read about it as I thought they had been discontinued.
farnz Posted January 4, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 4, 2011 I use a Rina as well and share your sentiments. Perhaps the only difference between yours and mine is that I've attached a broad 3 inch long leather strap to the Rina's loop because that ballistic Nylon is plenty slippery and it's nearly squirmed out of my grasp in the past. thompsonkirk Posted January 5, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 5, 2011 If you just want to carry one M with one lens, Leica's sort-of-tacky-looking little neoprene case does the job perfectly well. It stuffs in a pocket when you want to use the camera 'naked.' Kirk
bocaburger Posted January 5, 2011 Share #7 Posted January 5, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use an old Benser case for the same purpose. Fits an M9 even with a half-case attached.
Sandokan Posted January 5, 2011 Share #8 Posted January 5, 2011 My first one was taken by my niece for her makeup bag - by the time I found out she was 600km away. No second thoughts in immediately ordering a replacement. Mine holds an M7 with a half case (A&A) and upto a 75 Summicron and a Seconic light meter and a spirit level. Fits nicely into my work bag. tdtaylor Posted January 6, 2011 Share #10 Posted January 6, 2011 I'm not one to worry about costs very often, but $150 US. Am I missing something here? I have the Leica neoprene case, which works okay, and is what I keep my m9 in when in my work bag. I was just surprised to see the price tag on the Rina. I am actually intrigued by the design. mongrelnomad Posted January 11, 2011 Share #12 Posted January 11, 2011 I love the Rina case - fits any M with any lense smaller than a 35 'Lux ASPH (with shade) and makes the camera bag-chuckable. My M9, Collapsible Elmar 50/2.8 and the Rina come with me (almost) everywhere.
tdtaylor Posted January 11, 2011 Share #13 Posted January 11, 2011 Just checked Photo Village again, and they list it for $149. $49, I'd jump on it.
