christoph_d Posted January 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2011 Olaf, I admit, I've started to look and wonder when the announcement of the next challenge would come... So its time to polish the old lenses again, and to catch some rays of light... Regards into the new year, Christoph
arno_nyhm Posted January 11, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2011 i´ve got a question: would colour-neg (C41 development) be allowed or is B&W obligatory?
bill Posted January 12, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2011 Hi Arno, Colour is definitely allowed; have a look back at past challenges and you will see. Regards, Bill
thebarnman Posted January 25, 2011 Share #5 Posted January 25, 2011 Where are the images being posted? I looked in "Gallery" though I may have been in the wrong area. Is it suppose to be in this thread and no one has submitted yet?
bill Posted January 25, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 25, 2011 Um... if you read Olaf's first post in this thread you will see that posting will be after the 7th of February. A new thread will be set up for the purpose. Have a look at the previous 14 challenges and you'll see how it works. Regards, Bill
farnz Posted January 31, 2011 Share #7 Posted January 31, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I realise that the dates for this Barnack Challenge are set but could I respectfully request for future Barnack Challenges that 2 weeks are allowed for posting instead of just 1 please? For those of us who aren't able to enjoy developing and scanning the pictures ourselves, 1 week is at best barely enough time to send the negatives away and have them developed, scanned and returned let alone time to select the preferred photo and post it. Pete. you are allowed to process the film already in the second week as total you have three weeks for: taking pictures, developping and uploading - that should be good enough, I think. setting up the timelines is up to the next winner ... have fun, it's not to late, OLAF Edited January 31, 2011 by Dr. No
christoph_d Posted February 1, 2011 Share #9 Posted February 1, 2011 Olaf I support Pete's request. While I can follow your argument, I also realise that you set 2 weeks for photographing, and I can see no pressing reason for a tight deadline, especially if more photographers be enticed to participate. Best regards Christoph
Dr. No Posted February 4, 2011 Author Share #10 Posted February 4, 2011 as you like: posting entries - 07.02. - 20.02. (2 weeks) voting - 21.02. - 27.02. (1 week) so, the developing and posting is one week longer - 2 weeks the voting in the following week! cheers, OLAF folgende änderungen auf vielfältigen wunsch: bilder einstellen - 07.02. - 20.02. (2 wochen) abstimmen - 21.02. - 27.02. (1 woche) das bilder entwickeln und einstellen wurde um eine woche verlängert, abstimmen verschiebt sich entsprechend um eine woche . gruß OLAF

farnz Posted February 19, 2011 Share #12 Posted February 19, 2011 As it happens, Olaf, for the first time my lab screwed up my order and took three weeks to return my photos (I'd already posted them before you very kindly extended the posting deadline) but luckily they arrived in the post today and I've been able to enter one. Phew. Thanks again for extending the deadline. Pete.

Dan Ryan Posted February 19, 2011 Share #14 Posted February 19, 2011 Olaf I am sorry. My pic was taken on 15 February and JC has just pointed out to me that the rules for this challenge limit it to photos taken within certain dates. I had not noticed that. All that caught my attention was that the challenge closed on 20 February. My apologies. My entry is withdrawn. I think JC will attend to that for me. kind regards Dan
