MikelM10 Posted January 3, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been using the iPad and the 11" MacBook Air for mobile computing since they first appeared and I'm slowly making the transition from paper based magazines to doing my photographic reading and related product research almost entirely digitally. I find that paper magazine coverage cannot compete with the immediacy and broad range of information available on the web. Hence, in an idol moment, I began to wonder if anyone is still buying paper based monthly magazines on photography. Hence my questions to all the enthusiasts out there:- Does anyone still buy and read paper based monthly magazines? If so, which one's and why? Which on-line resources do you use the most and why? What info would you like to have access to that isn't available at the moment? I wondered what you all think and how things will move forward over the next few years Happy New Year All Mke
Advertisement Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Hi MikelM10, Take a look here Photographic Magazines . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Sandokan Posted January 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 7, 2011 Zinio for Amateur Photographer (postage costs are more than the magazine and it is the text that is more interesting). LensWork and Black And White (US edition) as paper copies as I really do prefer paper. I am not convinced that the quality on a screen is as good as a well made printed magazine. I still buy photography books (Munkasci and Gardin are the latest).
