albert Posted January 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings Digital Forum, I rarely visit your forum. Somebody please stop me or encourage me as I contemplate purchasing a Pink Panasonic GF2 Body and a Leica / Panasonic 45mm Macro Lens as her companion........This will cost me approximately $1,300.00. This would move me from a broken DL4, a C-LUX2, and The Digilux 1. Any comments will be appreciated except for dispariging remarks about the color pink. My only input is to get the Voigtlander micro 4/3 adapter, just in case some time in the future you get a collapsible Leica lens. It has a ridge in the back that prevents the collapsible lens from moving too far into the body which can damage the sensor. The ridge does not touch the lens glass, just the very outer rim. Pink? You are kidding, right?
albert Posted January 1, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted January 1, 2011 Pico, Damn good advice. Thank you very much This will be my "poor man's Leica-Kit". I will purchase next week.....body from hong kong....Leica DG 45 mm Macro from a domestic source. Pink, White, Siver, Black or Red....too many choices. stunsworth Posted January 1, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2011 Remember that with the crop factor involved that 45mm lens gives the equivalent of the field of view of 90mm on a 35mm camera. If you want something wider I can recommend the Panasonic 20mm lens.
albert Posted January 1, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted January 1, 2011 Steve, Thanks much. Someday I hope to add that lens and maybe Leica will add some more four-thirds choices. Right now I need something new and exciting while at the same time legal for posting here.
Paolo.Battista Posted January 2, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 2, 2011 Consider the opportunity of a used Olympus E-3 plus the Leica D Summilux 25 f:1,4. It would be much more an all around choice.
albert Posted January 2, 2011 Author Share #7 Posted January 2, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paolo, Thank to very much for the sensible advice. I purchased a white GF1 Body. Still leaning toward Leica 4/3 micro.
