luxikon Posted December 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Virtual Village offers an adapter for Hasselblad lenses to LTM. Has anybody experiences with this device? Is it possible to use the 250mm Sonar with a 50mm (Hasselblad 2x21+8) extension tube and Visoflex III and #16466 (in fact for 200mm) adapter on my M6? Or does one need another extension because the adapter functions as an extension tube by itself?
Advertisement Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Hi luxikon, Take a look here Hasselblad to LTM lens adapter. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
giordano Posted December 31, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2010 The lens mount register of the M body is 27.8mm. The Visoflex III is 40mm thick, flange to flange, making a total of 67.8mm, plus 1mm for the M to LTM adapter 68.8mm. Meanwhile the lens mount register of the Hasselblad 500 series is apparently 74.9 mm (Camera Mounts Sorted by Register). If so, an adapter would have to be 6.1mm thick to give infinity focus with a Hasselblad lens on a Visoflex. The Virtual Village adapter looks very much thicker than that, so you won't get infinity focus but the setup should work for close ups. (Also, the Virtual Village website shows "infinity focus" alongside other adapters but not alongside this one.) Stacking Hasselbad extension tubes will simply give you closer focus. I don't know how well corrected the various Hasselblad 250mm lenses are for close-ups. AFAIK they were designed for portrait and longer distances.
