Selling Leica on-line

I'm about to sell quite a lot of Leica stuff (internationally) on-line through the usual channels.

What measures should I take to make my offers "trustworthy" to potential buyers. I am obviously a trustworthy seller, I have a 100% feedback etc. but as I have personally found out this might often not be enough for high priced purchases.

Do you have any tips as how to improve the potential buyer "trust-factor" ?

Provide many outstanding detailed extra large photos of your goods, offer a very detailed description of technical and cosmetic condition, offer to return the goods if the buyer is not satisfied. Use good language, German and English.

A few obvious ones (which you don't need, I presume):

Be overly precise concerning brand, model denominations, technical properties, date of purchase. Give data about services performed and warranty, if applicable. Demonstrate knowledge about products to be sold - both commercially and technically. Give a plausible reason why you sell.

I presume you already know about packaging, insuring and sending in a safe manner.

If you're not in a particular hurry, you might also consider placing your ads "here" where you already are kind of known instead of "there".

Great stuff, thank you all.

All sounds perfectly normal and reasonable, but it needs to spring to mind first... :-)

I thought about making well documented PDF booklets for every item and sending them upon request, each with a multitude of images and information....

I also received a PM with the comment not ot include my Avatar ... hehehehehe (funny) ... I won't!

Offer local pick-up as an option. Shows that you personally stand behind your items and should increase confidence even of international buyers. Also important is communication esp. during delivery after the buyer has parted with their cash and before they have received anything. Some buyers can't or won't track parcels - a quick daily status update never hurts.
