Advertisement Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Hi mobeyone, Take a look here Summaron Leather Case. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
giordano Posted December 26, 2010 Share #2 Posted December 26, 2010 It looks authentic, but I'm sure there was more than one design, and of course there were three or four goggled 35mm lenses (from two Summarons, a Summicron and a Summilux whose production overlapped with that of the M3). Mods: this would probably do better in the Historica section.
mobeyone Posted December 26, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted December 26, 2010 Thanks for the reply. I will post some photos of the case once I receive but I cannot find anything online about this case, even Rockwells site does not mention a dedicated case for the goggled 35mm. scsambrook Posted December 26, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 26, 2010 Yes, it looks like the correct case. I don't think there were different versions for the the four 'goggled' lenses. The cases that came with my 35/3.5 Summaron and 35/2 Summicron were exactly the same. The case itself was by no means rare when in production, but yours looks to be in very nice condition and I guess ones in that state are probably uncommon today... luigi bertolotti Posted December 26, 2010 Share #5 Posted December 26, 2010 It looks exactly like mine... but I remember that the existence of slightly different versions was documented, time ago, in the forum... I remember clearly two pics of two cases with a slightly different height, even if seems that there had been a single product code (14552) for the case for goggled 35mm lenses (Summaron/Summicron/Summilux... and it was also for the DR Summicron 50 with goggles on).
