Advertisement Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Hi sandymc, Take a look here Not sure this is what Leica had in mind for the M9 Titanium's market positioning.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MikeD700 Posted December 23, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted December 23, 2010 Common denominator: They all fall resolutely into the "so wrong it almost hurts" category.
hoppyman Posted December 23, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted December 23, 2010 Sandy I think that you are right, I suspect Leica Camera don't mind the higher profile brand exposure as desirable objects at all. The M9 looks almost inexpensive compared to some of the things on that list though! I want the helicopter. I wonder if you can get it with APO ASPH windows. ho_co Posted December 23, 2010 Share #4 Â Posted December 23, 2010 ... I want the helicopter. I wonder if you can get it with APO ASPH windows. I think that option is available only if they've got enough anomalous partial dispersion glass left over from the glass speakers.
viramati Posted December 23, 2010 Share #5  Posted December 23, 2010 now what would you think would be more fun 3 M9 titaniums (£60,000) or 1 Seabreacher shark madness machine (£60,000)  Seabreacher X |  It would have to be the Seabreacher
3rdtrick Posted December 23, 2010 Share #6 Â Posted December 23, 2010 The "Dome House" is cool but I really like the Seabreacher...
Shade Posted December 24, 2010 Share #7 Â Posted December 24, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I think it is exactly what leica had in mind. A leica is not just for everyone, let alone the titanium version..
ho_co Posted December 24, 2010 Share #8 Â Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) Cute when breaching, but judging from the video, Seabreacher hasn't quite mastered the shark's elegance at re-entering the water. Â I'll take the dome house. That does come on a turntable, doesn't it, to make best energy use? Â Â Oh, and this seems to be the V-Lux 20 version of the dome: Mongol Yurt (Ger) - Mongolian House Yurtas or Houses from Mongolia Gers [Yurta]. marknorton Posted December 24, 2010 Share #9  Posted December 24, 2010 I just wonder how many owners of the M9 Tit will ever realise that their pride and joy can - most likely will - backfocus just like any cooking M9? A camera that likes to divide its time between a display cabinet and a DHL depot en route to Gießen.
hoppyman Posted December 24, 2010 Share #10 Â Posted December 24, 2010 Mine's not Titanium but it does not back focus. It focuses exactly where I put it with evey lens. No excuses if I get it wrong. neli Posted December 24, 2010 Share #15  Posted December 24, 2010 I'm a little disappointed. Am I the only one who got all those for christmas this year? I thought this forum had a €10K membership fee.
Archiver Posted December 25, 2010 Share #16 Â Posted December 25, 2010 Oooh, I like this list. You land at your oceanfront Domehouse in your Mercedes Eurocopter, after having taken aerial photos with your titanium M9. After a quick blast through the sea in your shark machine, you relax in front of your 152 inch HD 3D plasma TV which uses glass speakers. Â Am I the only one who thinks a Kid's Walker exoskeleton would be the bomb???
ho_co Posted December 25, 2010 Share #17 Â Posted December 25, 2010 +1 Â I wish the photo gave a better indication of the Walker's size. Wouldn't want to buy it if it didn't fit.
NZDavid Posted December 26, 2010 Share #18 Â Posted December 26, 2010 Most items look like they could come with extras courtesy of Q for James Bond. Bike looks cool but it does remind me very much of the Britten V1000 (Britten Motorcycle Company).
scjohn Posted December 28, 2010 Share #19 Â Posted December 28, 2010 has sean reid found out if the vibrations on the tron cycle will hurt a titanium m9 if left under the seat.
beewee Posted December 30, 2010 Share #20 Â Posted December 30, 2010 The aircraft balcony is probably the worst idea ever. If you need to use anything on board that requires a moderate amount of electricity (i.e. interior lighting), you'd need to turn on the auxiliary power unit. Then you'd be blasted with 130dB of high pitch jet engine noise and breathing jet fumes coming out from the tail. That is, unless you can plug the aircraft into some ground based power supply (which is not available in most deserted airstrips). So pretty much if you can get power, it probably means you're at a well equiped airport that has aircraft moving around nearby, making lots of noise and you'd be breathing in nasty jet fumes either way.
