As I began scrolling down I doubted I'd like the image. But once I saw the entire thing, with the distant peolpe, the depth, and the lighter, distant trees I knew this was special. Lovely.

An exceptional winter scene with excellent composition, depth, tones, sharpness and the people in the distance that makes the picture complete.

Personally I find the contrast between the winter trees and snow very appealing......this image is very strong compositionally but even on the limited scale provided by the forum it is clear that the detail is very strong in the image. Black and White treatment only adds to the overall subject.
