Good evening,

this is the first small series of pictures and impressions of my Verdun trip. The weather was, ... lets call it difficult, but very nice for some good pictures. It was misty and it rained nearly the whole morning, but this is the kind of weather that gives pictures something special and I tried my best.

These pictures certainly fit the mood that one would get at that location. You did a fine job presenting your feelings.

Whilst you say the weather was a little difficult, the sombre mood evoked by the weather you had only adds to both the substance of the images presented and the subject. #3 feels almost like a testament in that the wide open ground eventually leads to the solid backdrop, which acts as a reminder that whilst gone, not forgotten.
