There is an excellent article by Mark Dubovoy on the differences manufacturers apply to their camera designs at Thoughts on Medium Format Cameras.

 

The article is quite positive on the S2 and the Alpa, negative toward the "do-everything" dSLR.

 

John Brewton has already mentioned this article at http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-s2-forum/157015-new-s2-experience-luminous-landscape.html, but I disagree with his assessment of Dubovoy as "S2 groupie."

 

Very interesting reading for Leica users.
