Great Site, but:

 

Isn't there a "0" missing:

 

"he Leica IIIa camera, introduced in 1935the first issue bearing the serial number 156201 and production continued until 1948 when it terminated at serial number 357186.

Basically the model is identical to the Leica II except that the additional speed of 1/100th was added to the shutter range, this making spotting photography more suitable for this camera."

 

and regarding the M6 you write:

 

" Exposure adjusted by either the diaphragm ring or the shutter speed dial : either turning in the direction indicated by the illuminated diodes until both diodes are evenly lit."

 

Only the shutter speed dials of the M6TTL, M7, M8 and M9 are turned in the direction indicated by the LED-arrows. The shutter speed dials of the M6 and MP are just like the ones on the M1 to M4-P and you have to turn them in the opposite direction of the LED-arrow.

My proposal:

use slashes instead of points, then its clear.

01/05/2015

Using points as separators, it's

05.01.2015

And using hyphen, it's

2015-01-05

(notation acc. to ISO)

I prefer using the last notation in filenames, as it helps sorting chronologically
