That's more like it :) Thanks very much.

It all depends if you want a natural look, or want to show something that has been pushed. I have said on here before that I am not a fan of HDR at all, and this one definitely suits my taste much more than the first version.

I am inclined to agree with you. The trouble is, you start to use these add-ins more than is necessary. In most cases Aperture will produce the goods without HDR.

Thanks for your comments, they are always appreciated.

Well, both look fine to me...... depends on what sort of look you want.....

crisp and contrasty to emphasise the cold bright light....

or more subdued and less contrasty to give a bleak midwinter look...

as you were the only one there it's up to you to process this as you see fit to bring out the scene as YOU saw and interpreted it.......

I'm afraid we could get into a long and unresolvable 'discussion' about the merits of photography as a technical exercise in reproducing exactly what is there and photography as an art form.

Great photo. Keep posting. Do what you like with them !!

I agree with that. You present the scene as you visualized it and the way you want to present it. I do stand by my opinion about this picture however.
