View of the Bridge

Tom,

A fine picture with the subtle red colors, clarity and composition. The concrete of the dam at the right is somewhat distracting even though unavoidable to eliminate from the picture. Perhaps a different vantage point to the left could have worked better.

Lovely composition, depth and detail but a shame that there was not direct sunlight from the side or from behind you. My post processing skills are limited, and I'm adjusting this on an inferior monitor, but this somewhat simulates the look I mean.

thanks stu and paul-

yes, agree about that chunk of concrete- i played with cropping and decided to leave it in to keep the proportions, amount of sky, the angular towers, and feeling of space appropriate.

the early morning light was what it was, light cloud cover. beating the crowds in the early morning was nice.

of course the tiff files look much better, in all regards. when i convert to jpeg and reduce the scale for posting...i lose a lot, and even have to crop a bit more to get them to an acceptable size...

Ece, if you want to see a view from the bridge, please have a look at my post, "dam," currently on page 3 in this category. I haven't yet posted my uncropped view from Pat's bridge. Try to allow yourself extra time to visit, there is much to see & experience, and photograph. I had limited my self to just my 21 that morning, which was good, but in hindsight wish I had taken something in addition. Good excuse for a return visit. Thanks for looking and sharing your comments.
