stuny Posted December 13, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted December 13, 2010 Nick - Â Almost there. I think with two PP changes it can be excellent: Â 1. Rotate 1 degree to the left. Â 2. Slightly increase the shadow slider.
pauledell Posted December 13, 2010 Share #3 Â Posted December 13, 2010 Nick, Â A fine shot with great composition, perspective, colors and clarity. Sorry Stuart, I don't agree with the rotation advice. I'd leave that alone. The horizontal lines seem fine to me. Perhaps an increase of contrast might improve it. Nick De Marco Posted December 13, 2010 Author Share #4  Posted December 13, 2010 Ah, to straighten lines or not.... that is a question  I decided to not straighten them much at all, in that first one, as I liked the way the columns led in to the church.  If you haven't seen my blog yet (Rangefinder Chronicles: Sunday 28 November 2010), you won't know that the main purpose of going to Greenwich that Sunday was to take some large format photographs - where I was more or less able to get rid of such distortion with the camera movements (as well as the fact I was using a standard lens for 5x4)  But on the 35mm I decided to straighten some much more than others. Take the next 2 for example, the first of which in particular as had an unnatural amount of line changing to give it a more perfect architectural view:       However this last one, below, had only a little line straightening, as some of the distortion works to give perspective.    Please do check the blog for more photos and description if you have not already Rangefinder Chronicles: Sunday 28 November 2010  Nick
