Guest kissov Posted December 12, 2010 Share #1 Â Posted December 12, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I get odd f-stop readings in Lightroom metadata from my M9 and a 50mm Cron. After downloading shots to Lightroom the f-stop metadata reads thing like f 2.4 , f 4.7, f 5.9 and even though I shoot at f2 it always displays f-2.4. Why? Is something wrong? Thank you. pop Posted December 12, 2010 Share #2 Â Posted December 12, 2010 R - The setting of the aperture is not transmitted from the lens to the body. The camera seems to compare the light which reaches its little eye above the lens with the light reaching the sensor. It then calculates from that ratio what may or may not be the aperture of the lens.
