I have been a Leica user for approx 6 months now and today I went to my first demonstration day at Harrison Cameras, Sheffield. With Leica being such a specialist brand it is often difficult to get hold of lenses to try out at your local dealers so I thought I would grab the chance to attend.

 

I thought it would be packed and was a little concerned that I might not get the chance to get to the lenses and ask any questions I had. To my surprise, when I arrived there were no other customers so I was able to speak to Mark, the Leica rep, on a one to one basis for about half an hour. He then let me try each lens on my M9 and and take them outside to shoot as much as I wanted so that I could analyse the shots when I got back home.

 

I have to say I learnt so much about some of the lenses and would strongly recomend to anyone thinking about adding to their system that this is a great way to check these out. I always thought the 90mm would be very difficult to work with but found it much easier than expected.
