lars_bergquist Posted November 25, 2010 Share #21 Â Posted November 25, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I guess I want to have my cake and eat it - a reasonably compact lens (I looked at a 135 APO-Telyt in the shop the other day - what a monster!), with wide field of view for drama and fast so I can also use it in low light. Sounds like a Summilux or a Elmarit 21. Â Ever tried a 135mm Elmarit for size? The Apo-Telyt is really a petite lens for its focal length. Advertisement Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Hi lars_bergquist, Take a look here 24 mm M Lens recommendation?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Xmas Posted November 25, 2010 Share #22  Posted November 25, 2010 Hi  I got the ZM Biogon and it is real nice in the (24x36) corners even at /2.8, but it is well big...  For street shooting I use the CV 25mm M or LTM, yes got both, both diminutive....  The CV LTM kit includes a finder and you only need to code the LTM/M adapter, and it has click settings for focus so you can scale focus blind, when shooting' from palm'.  If you get the CV with small change you can resell when you have saved for the GAS, and resell at a profit, cause the yen keeps hardening and all the CV lenses are tracking... Strangely I've not been able to sell my CV, they keep hiding in gbag...  Noel
UliWer Posted November 25, 2010 Share #23 Â Posted November 25, 2010 Depends how close you get, or need to. If you want everything sharp, superb definition and contrast and a lens that is still usually fast enough even at low ISOs, the 2.8/24 Elmarit ASPH is stunning. You might like to look at Erwins' Putts reviews at Lens (most reviews under Leica/lens). Â When I asked a Leica represenative, why the Elmarit 2.8/24 Asph isn't listed any more in the last price list I was told that the lens has been discontinued. Though you may find it still at many Leica dealers'.
