lars_bergquist Posted February 5, 2007 Share #41 Â Posted February 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Guy, I think you would get away with a completely cylindrical hood, and that would intrude even less in the finder. B+W make cylindrical 'standard lens' screw-in hoods. Â I found that because of the crop factor, the smaller 35 Lux hood works perfectly on my 28 'cron, and no vignetting! The image angle of the 35 on the M8 is of course equivalent to that of a 47 mm lens on a FF camera. There is no need for them to "step up" in diameter on a crop factor camera. I find rectangular hoods to be a royal pain, always getting snaged on something. And they do call more attention to the camera.  Cosina uses no step up hoods on their 21-25-28 series of compact lenses. These are my favorites for discrete, low impact photography.  Rex
gravastar Posted February 5, 2007 Share #43  Posted February 5, 2007 I've noticed that the Leicagoodies site has been hacked by cyber vandals. Does anyone have any information about this really useful little company? I wanted to buy the flash bounce they do, but now it looks as if this isn't going to be possible.  Grateful for any updates.  Thanks  Well, that hacker's pretty dumb. Go here Leicagoodies Directory to carry on the business.  On second thoughts it's probably not a good idea to submit your credit card etc. until the site owner has sorted the intrusion out.   Bob. whorg Posted February 5, 2007 Share #44 Â Posted February 5, 2007 Actually they had many other little products that where very useful. I have one of the diffusion material for the SF 24 and do like that. Â I just ordered the SFILL for the above flash, and it took a little while (34 days) . . . but I did receive an apologetic e-mail from the (original) owners stating the company was "changing hands" around New Years and will continue doing business as usual.
