adan Posted November 10, 2010 Share #4 Posted November 10, 2010 Probably got some demo use at the store counter. M6 was last produced - what? - 7 years ago?. Even if never previously "owned," it may have acquired enough handling and exposures to be noticeable to the "gnomes".

UliWer Posted November 10, 2010 Share #6 Posted November 10, 2010 In the german forum we just had a rather heated discussion about this "classification" by the CS: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/forum-zur-leica-m9/149658-ein-jahr-m9-na-ja.html

Nicoleica Posted November 11, 2010 Share #9 Posted November 11, 2010 I think that they use that classification for anything that passes through CS that has been purchased that is otherwise as-new. I suspect that there is some legal reason as to why they cannot describe something as 'perfect' or 'new' once it has passed through a dealer and been sold. I queried this myself when my M8 returned from its first holiday in Solms.
