tranquilo67 Posted May 17, 2018 Share #1088 Posted May 17, 2018 (edited) Hi, I introduced myself some days ago but I feel I need to introduce to you one of my favorites. Lovely condition (everything is nickel despite of the aspect) and working like a charm. Have some others LTM bodies, but for me, not so special. Welcome, dear visitor! tranquilo67 Posted October 18, 2018 Share #1089 Posted October 18, 2018 (edited) Hi again, Even when strictly speaking is not an LTM I cannot resist to show you the last member of the family. It has not been a self queen for sure, but 88 years later it works flawlessly. Hope you will like it as much as I do. Welcome, dear visitor! Dopaco Posted October 18, 2018 Share #1091 Posted October 18, 2018 A funny thread I am reading it carefully from the beginning. It has interesting things and photos that serve to observe and learn. I'm going on page 25 and I've only seen one LTM with flash. What can be the motive?. Has anyone used it? ... It would be so kind to upload a photo. I will upload my LTM to this wonderful thread. a greeting

Dopaco Posted October 19, 2018 Share #1093 Posted October 19, 2018 Ambro51 and Wilson Bufff, my God, more than a camera looks like a car engine ... I had never seen anything like it. Of course, I am a beginner with these LTM cameras. How much do I have left to see and learn? ... I would like to know what kind of photos are usually made with all this assembly. The saying: "A picture is worth more than a million words." It would be appreciated to show some photo as a result of this assembly. Greetings and see you soon. Ambro51 Posted October 19, 2018 Share #1095 Posted October 19, 2018 It’s a III with PLOOT, 45 degree with 5X viewer, 135 Hektor head in short focusing mount, 36 lens hood Leitz ball head tripod mount and dual cable release. It is Awesome for birds in trees 🙂
wlaidlaw Posted October 19, 2018 Share #1096 Posted October 19, 2018 Mine is a slightly later Visoflex 1 from 1951 with an IFLEX focus screen changer, again with a 135mm/f4.5 Hektor on a ZOOAN short focusing mount (a very late one from their final year of 1960) sitting on what used to be my father's spare Leica, a IIf, bought new on a trip to New York in 1953. The Viso 1 and Hektor are recent acquisitions so no films developed as yet with this combo. Wilson

The contraption you see is a Visoflex which effectively turned the rangefinder Leica into an SLR to frame more accurately for macro or telephoto applications. Very 'heath robinson' but clever design. Ambro51 Posted October 22, 2018 Share #1098 Posted October 22, 2018 (edited) .....it turned the rangefinder Leica into the Worlds First (1935) 35mm SLR Camera. It’s still a delight to use, though you have to train yourself not to “react” as while watching in the viewer and pressing the dual cable release..the image beiins tO movE uP’. ....in theory I could hook this rig up to my 6” Refractor Telescope (huge) and do some decent astrophotography...but I’m too lazy;-) Edited October 22, 2018 by Ambro51
wlaidlaw Posted October 22, 2018 Share #1099 Posted October 22, 2018 Just bought another Leica dual cable release, an OTZWO. This is the correct one for my LTM Visoflex 1 and it is nice to have the matching black crackle paint. I have been using the silver OTZWO-M off my M Mount Visoflex 1 with the addition of an adapter sleeve on the shutter release cable to convert to LTM type shutter buttons. There was a huge variation in pricing of these with European sellers asking far more than US sellers. I got this one from Roberts Camera from whom I have bought old Leica bits before. It was a massive $19.50.This will save me having to swap my cable releases backwards and forwards. Wilson Welcome, dear visitor! Muy 'heath robinson' pero diseño inteligente. Thank you for your explanation. They match what I had read on the internet. Anyway, thank you all for bringing all these things to the thread. They serve to make known that they exist. Many accessories that are named in the thread, for me were completely new. I'm learning a lot. Again, thank you very much to everyone.
