cbretteville Posted November 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) The 2010 Leica One Challenge - the daytime challenge Finally we are here, once again. Ladies and Gentlemen, the entries in this year's One Challenge. A big, big thanks to everyone who supported, attended and contributed to another great Challenge. I wish us all the best of luck in the voting. As in previous years, please vote for your top three images. (It goes without saying that one should not vote for one's own entry, but voting for a family member, if they also entered, is acceptable though.) Anyone voting for fewer than three photographs will not have their votes counted. For your FIRST choice, 3 points will be awarded, for the SECOND choice, 2 points, and for your THIRD choice, 1 point. Prizes: The winner will receive a £500 gift certificate from Red Dot Camera in London. The first runner up will receive a Billingham Hadley Pro. Once again I'd like to thank Red Dot Camera for their support and for putting up the prices for the winner and runner up. Voting will close at 22:00 (CET) on 18th November 2010, and the winner will be announced shortly afterward. Please record your votes in this thread.

andybarton Posted November 4, 2010 Share #7 Posted November 4, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just to let you know folks that this sub-section has a "look but don't touch" lock on it at the moment. Unless you're a mod. Or Carl I have PM'd Andreas, who will, hopefully, be able to open this up for voting on Friday.

giordano Posted November 5, 2010 Share #13 Posted November 5, 2010 As Andy said, this was very difficult. None of them really grabbed me but all of them have something. Is anyone else bothered by the vibrating bokeh in D15 and D21? To me it's an example of overdoing the summinoctishowoff effect, and much more distracting than a slightly defocused (f/4? f/5.6?) background would have been. Conversely, D10 might be better with less DoF. D15 - Draw - 3 pts D4 - Gentleman - 2 D3 - Artist -

topfloor Posted November 5, 2010 Share #20 Posted November 5, 2010 The pictures I see cover quite a range, from street to 'staged' portrait, from really close to far away from people. A real pleasure to browse through them.
