miboss Posted January 14, 2007 Share #1  Posted January 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought (second hand mint) a Apo-Telyt M 135/3.4 to complete my range of lenses in the sense that, when travelling, I can forget about bringing along my bulky DMR yet stay ready for those shots where a tele (180 on the M8) is needed. I feel pretty sure that I can manage focusing with the 1.25 viewfinder magnifiyer but I am less comfortable with the lack of framelines in the M8 VF. I have read that the field of view is approx. twice the focusing patch yet I would certainly prefer a separate VF (180 in this case). Does anybody know about the existence of such a device ? Thanks in advance for your help  Michel
Advertisement Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Hi miboss, Take a look here Viewfinder for Apo-Telyt M 135/3.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
robsteve Posted January 14, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted January 14, 2007 Michel: Â There was a 180mm finder for the Leica screw mounts.
macusque Posted January 14, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted January 14, 2007 TEWE make some zoom viewfinders that go to about 200mm. I have one, though I don't use it anymore since I sold my 135 Apo. And even then I preferred to use the internal viewfinder for framing (135 is about two times the rangefinder patch). Â This is a link to a similar one selling on ebay right now. miboss Posted January 14, 2007 Author Share #4  Posted January 14, 2007 Thanks Robert and Marco. I'll try to find the Leica VF and if not, the Tewe one. You've been most helpful  Michel
