jjonsalt Posted October 19, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I installed a Giottos SP8250 LCD protector on my C-Lux 3. It blocked some of the view so I attempted to remove it (perhaps reposition). It got scratched. A couple of small but bothersome scratches (if nothing else because I know they are there). I wonder if I should had used an 8251 protector (slightly larger borders) instead. I also have an 8300 protector to put on a D-Lux 5 that is on the way. Of course, I am now concerned about using it. The Giottos protectors seem of high quality and are priced as such, I don't know what Leica would charge to replace the scratched screen, but I also have a Panasonic DMC-FX37 that appears to have the same cover. Perhaps swapping them is a good idea? Who could do it? Comments/Ideas?
