After reading reviews about DL-5, I am thinking of trading the DL4 to DL5. My main reason is the larger zoom, but the ZS7 has larger zoom than the DL5. I need professional advice, please. I have not owned either the D-Lux 4 or the SZ7. A friend has used the LX4 (D-Lux 4) for some time, and is also interested in upgrading. It comes down to what you enjoy photographing. Will the D Lux-5 help you get the images that the 4 isn't. The ZS 7 is not in the same league with the D-Lux 4 or 5, so I'd drop it from your comparison. I recommend that you attempt to locate a Panasonic LX 5 so you can have a side by side comparison to know for sure if you want to upgrade. If you see improvements with the LX 5, then wait 'til the D Lux-5 is available. If you don't think the jump from the 4 to the 5 is significant, hold off on your upgrade.
