Hi Decay,

You're in Surabaya? I was in Jakarta a couple of weeks ago and I share your frustration of finding places that sell any films, let alone BW. It goes to show you that demand for film in Indonesia in general is diminishing and availability dwindled as a result. I heard you can still get it in Pasar Baru and Jl. Sabang in Jakarta if you happen to be there. I managed to find some in smaller labs as well in Jakarta. Sorry, can't help with Surabaya though.

It gets harder everyday to get film. :(

Like Neopan1600, it's just A SHAME they stopped the production. As long I have Tri-X400, things are +- OK, but when I can't buy anymore of that I'll go NUTS....

Hi,

I don't have any problem obtaining film at all. There are a serious number of choices. ag-photographic in the UK stock several.

This is actual the Fuji program in Europe (Photokina Cologne September 2010):

No Neopan 400 in 120 roll film. No Neopan 1600, whole Sensia slide films obselete, no Tungsten film, no pro 800Z, 160S/C obselete will be 160NS only. Well you can see it yourself.

B&W films you have to buy on-line: cheaper and fresh films. Fotohuis has a minimum ordering of Eur. 20,-

Why Fuji discontinued Neopan 1600: Well Fotohuis has sold maybe 50 films (Fuji 1600) a year compared to over 3000 of Czech B&W Fomapan films 100/400.

Sorry but I have to say that finding a BW film such as Ilford, Neopan, Tri-x is very hard in my country. I dont know why... Been looking for the whole day and they all just gave me answer such as

"oh they are hard to find"

"they no more produce those BW films"

"why shoot BW??"

"why not buy M9?"

"no one is shooting film now why you shoot film?"

Man... i am just looking to buy BW film and it is soooo hard to find...

Thank you.. just a thought :)

When I worked in Sarawak (Kuching) in the 1990s I used to buy B+W film in bulk at photo stores in Singapore - There was a good store in the basement of the Equatorial Hotel on North Bridge Road which stocked Ilford film.

They might be prepared to post supplies to you - maybe one of our Singapore members could help by sending up-to-date details?
