Hello, I am an owner of M6, I am using my dad's camera now since he bought it like years ago but never used it. I would like to know how come some lenses are summilux, summicron and elmarit? what are the differences?

I am sorry for asking this stupid questions but I thank you for any kind enlightenments..

Kind Regards,

Hi

If you want to dig deeper (simplistically) they are trade names for two basic designs

The double Gauss or the Cooke triplet

Double-Gauss lens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cooke triplet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

e.g. the ZM Planar and Summicron are basically the same design, the designers use similar ray tracing software on a PC, the clever bit is makng the lens cheap to make...

But id just take photos and not worry

Noctilux is f0.95

Summilux is f1.4

Summicron is f2.0

Elmarit is f2.8

Elmar is f4

Do i get this right this time?

Yes, you've pretty much got it right; and, here's a link to how another photographer that now uses and reviews Leica cameras and lenses addresses this subject, and in a way that was most helpful to me: ;)
