farnz Posted October 2, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) My MP's rewind knob is bound up solid after needing a little gentle persuasion to remove a particularly reluctant roll of film. Does anyone have any ideas for freeing it up or is a trip back to Solms? Pete.

rob_x2004 Posted October 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2010 Do a search and find the other guy who had the same problem. I dont think he repoorted back and may have gone awol after sending his MP off PQ, but it might be worth a PM.
Macbookguy Posted October 3, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 3, 2010 That happend to me to. I did nothing special with the camera or the film but the rewind knob just started to turn very hard, it was nearly stuck. I had to send the camera back to Solms. They did a service on it and I think they changed a bearing at the rewind knob too. My camera was only a month old so they did it for free under waranty. farnz Posted October 3, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted October 3, 2010 Thanks, Mac~. The brassing on my BP MP suggests that it may be *slightly* out of warranty so it looks like I'll have the honour of paying for the repair. The rewind knob turns okay but it won't pull up so at least I can use the camera for now. Pete.
