For the life of me I can't find a website that I can buy these films from that isn't closed for the Jewish holiday for the next week +

Amazon doesn't carry Ektar 100 or Portra NC 400 directly otherwise I would just order from there. I need to have this delivered by Friday (so I'm going to pay for 2 day shipping somewhere) becasue I'm going on a photo based road trip from Springfield, Illinois to Nashville, TN this weekend to put my Leica CL to use for the first time.

I don't want Kodak Gold or Fujifilm Superia because they don't have a lot of character in my mind, and that's all Walgreens, CVS, or Walmart and other chain stores sell.

Also, a side question... Can you guys recommend any good color iso 800 and iso 1600 films? Does Ilford have an iso 1600 b&w film?

Thanks for your help guys. Luckily I see Amazon sells Ilford Super XP-2 400 film so I can order a few rolls of that at the very least, but I like what I've seen with Portra NC 400 and Ektar 100.

Adorama observes the Jewish holiday's just like B&H does, they just don't tell you about it until you go to check out

What's freestyle? I found some Portra and Ektar on Calumet... Thanks for that suggestion.

Any ideas on iso 1600 color film or does that not exist? Anyone try pushing iso 800 portra nc (or vc) film to iso 1600?

I assume pushing means to set the cameras iso to a lower value than what the film is rated so that the film will overexpose some

Is it true that every photography shop in America observes Jewish holidays?

That I find hard to believe.

There is no 1600 ASA colour film that I am aware of. If you expose your film at a different speed than it was designed for, you need to tell your processor what you have done. Colour negative film has a wide latitude, so 1 stop difference will easily be taken care of by the processing lab. If it's a decent one.
