Xmas Posted September 26, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 26, 2010 Hi I've looked through a M2 finder that had been rebuilt at CRR Luton seemed as new to me. think they are cheaper than Solms, and unless you can fine a convenient cannibal. Guest Overview Posted September 26, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 26, 2010 I appreciate you taking the time Xmas... but the M-3 has a totally different rangefinder than the M-2 and later Leica M's. Not only that, but there were 3 versions of the M-3 finder! Which is why I mentioned I don't want a "transplant". Thanks again.

cbretteville Posted September 27, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 27, 2010 Or DAG Camera in Wisconsin. He cleaned up my 1957 M3DS beautifully. I feels like it must have done when new. The VF is incredibly bright and a joy to use. Carl

Hi Think there was a communication failure Solms replace viewfinders M3 (or M2, ...) if the splitter is degraded, some of other the repair people will re-silver the splitter. the sample I saw of a M2 seemed better then any of mine, on original silver, the technology of the M3 rfdr is the same as the M2, and I was aware there were various variants... If your M3 finders only focuses to 1m and it is easy to get it closer they will do that as well... M2/3/4 Rangefinder Restoration Some of the US repair persons also refurb finders, shop around.
