wilfredo Posted January 11, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted January 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm not familiar with the Capture One software that came with my Leica M8, and I am wondering, once I open a RAW file with Capture One, how do I transfer it over to PSCS for post processing as a TIFF file? Â Thanks, Wilfredo+ Benitez-Rivera Photography
Advertisement Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Hi wilfredo, Take a look here Capture One Question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wparsonsgisnet Posted January 11, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted January 11, 2007 Wilfredo, I had exactly the same question when I started a few days ago. Â I take it you have opened a directory on the left and have the photo in the center portion where you can work on it. Â Do the Crop, the WB, the Exposure, and the Focus. Then Click on the bottom tab (Process?) and then click on the +-sign above the white box to the right. The actions will be carried out and the file will be saved as a tiff (you set this up along the way in the preferences) in the appropriate folder. Â In windoze, the tiff gets saved in WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color\.....(files). Â I now keep all my working files in this directory, including the ones from PSCS2 and those from Neat Image. Â G'luck and regards,
AlanG Posted January 11, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted January 11, 2007 Â In windoze, the tiff gets saved in WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color\.....(files). Â I don't know where this comes from unless it is the default directory immediately after installation. You simply need to change it when you go to process your files. Â The location of the processed tif files can be anywhere on the computer. I usually save them in a folder titled "Deveolped" inside the folder that has the raw files. Â For instance If the folder that contains the raw files is titled "Images ABC", then my tif files will be in "Images ABC/Developed" The process tab in C-1 has an icon that you click on to setup the location for the processed files. This is where you can enable a default setting to always create a sub folder named "Developed" inside the current raw folder. Of course you can set it to some other location if you like but I prefer to have them in a sub folder of the raw files. Â I hope this helps.

cmb_ Posted January 11, 2007 Share #5  Posted January 11, 2007 Wilfredo  Set up your processed folder as described above. Also, in the process tab at the bottom of the window there is a checkbox after the words Automatically Open Processed Images. If that is checked the files will automatically open in Photoshop or whatever you have selected as your default image processor.
