New C1 Profiles for M8

I have no experience using C1 but will learn soon (when I get my M8), so had a few questions:

1) There is talk of a new C1 profile for the M8 with IR filters (e.g., Sean talks about this on his site). Will the light version of C1 be able to use these profiles or will you need the pro version?

2) Does anyone know when an updated C1 version may be available? (Anyone have info on whether work has started on it already at Phase One?)

Thanks.

All C1pro profiles can be imported and used in C1Le by this simple trick: Download the trial version of C1pro. All pro profiles will automatically be put into the appropriate directory. Delete the pro-version. The files will remain.

LE is bundled with the M8, of course, and so when new M8 profiles are available from C1 they will certainly work with LE.

Cheers,

Sean

The profiles work fine with the LE version of C1. When you have the profiles in a directory, right click on them and "install" them. They will go to the correct directory for C1 to find them. [Thanks to Jamie Roberts for this tip.]

Thanks everyone. As I said, I have no experience with C1 (yet).

Not to highjack my own thread, but, I have used ACR and then Rawshooter which I really like (once I got used to it). I have heard that Raw Developer is a nice program, but I am leary of using a program that is at risk of disappearing (a la Rawshooter). As such, I plan to stick with C1 for now, but wondering if anyone knows anything about the company that owns Raw Developer.
