stuny Posted January 10, 2007 Share #1  Posted January 10, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I Journeyed to Leica NJ yesterday to have my D2 looked at. Recently, any shot with very bright areas in it had a magenta cast. Now the D2 is on six-week holiday to Solms for a CCD replacement. Apparently, this is an earlier symptom of the blackout that other D2 owners have reported here, which required the replacement of the Sony sourced chip, all at Leica’s cost. As has always my experience with Leica NJ, they were fast and professional. I even enjoy the receptionist and the woman who covers for her when she is on break. Riley Posted January 10, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted January 10, 2007 stuart it is usual for Leica to recondition the camera somewhat as well, so do not despair
stuny Posted January 11, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted January 11, 2007 Thanks Rob. That tracks with my experience, too. They seem to have a "clean" obsession.
