David_Manning Posted September 14, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just thought I'd pass along that I've been very happy with the quality of scans I'm getting from my Plustek 7600i scanner that I bought two weeks ago. It's plenty sharp and fairly fast. A couple of examples, all shot with a Leica M6 classic, Zeiss T* Biogon 35/f2, and Kodak Tri-X...

Stealth3kpl Posted September 14, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2010 These look great. You should add to Rolo's "I Love My Scanner" thread. It's an impressive and reasonably priced scanner. Pete

David_Manning Posted September 14, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted September 14, 2010 Thanks Pete. For the money, no better for 35mm in my opinion. Jeff, thanks. Believe it or not, I'm not souping my own film. I have terrible consistency, so I'm sending to a pro lab who does a great job. I'll shoot them an email and try to get an answer for you. wblynch (sorry, didn't look up your name), your spot-on...Manhattan Beach pier. Thanks a lot. If anyone else is interested in more examples of the Plustek's work in my clumsy hands, check out some of the stuff on my Flickr page: Flickr: David's_silvershots' Photostream
delander † Posted September 15, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 15, 2010 Thank you for giving your impressions of the Plustek and very nice to see some actual meaningful scans. I need a film scanner for B&W and have been thinking about the Plustek, an Epson 700 or a Canon 9000F. I dont need a flatbed so it seems that the Plustek is the one to go for.
