ChrisC Posted January 10, 2007 Share #22 Â Posted January 10, 2007 Guy - Thank you for yet another informative thread. Fast picture making, good images, very testing conditions, well done you. I would have thought that this could also have turned into a moire convention [i have a camera that would certainly have thrown a fit], care to comment on any moire problems with this shoot? Guest guy_mancuso Posted January 10, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted January 10, 2007 Honestly it is less of a issue than a lot of us think. I mean i get it every once in a while but overall , I would much rather be minus the AA filter for sure
Leica DeOcean Posted January 10, 2007 Share #24 Â Posted January 10, 2007 I apologize that I am not in a position to upload pictures ............ Yet I'd like to share an observation about the Cyan Cast. Â At a recent choir concert that my granddaughter was in .......... I took pictures of the choir all dressed in "black" with my M8 and the Nocitlux. When the choir members were sitting in the bleechers of the gymnasium and away from the stage, the pictures showed them wearing "black". Yet when the very same children dressed in "black" sang on the stage UNDER STAGE LIGHTING, they showed up in the pictures as "Barney" (wearing cyan colored clothing). Â This made me wonder ........ although I am NOT a technical thinker ........... that it is not only the "material" of which the fabrics are made that is relevant but also the particular lighting that impinges on that material. I have also observed that my black leather shoes never showed up as "cyan" on any pictures .... but the on the leather cases for the Noctilux, the fabric of the zipper showed up "cyan" ..... yet not the leather. Â However .............. Let me comment that your pictures are a pleasure to view on this forum. Keep them coming. Â Attila

Attilla-You are correct. The cast we are seeing is based on a materials reflectivity of ir light. not the presence of ir range reds in a fabric. i've not seen a "cyan" cast at all though. do you mean cyan or magenta?   I think you're right. My comment was with "magenta" in mind.  Chalk that error up to "loss of focus" ? I read one thing and was thinking of another. Thanks for the clarification. leicamr Posted January 11, 2007 Share #27  Posted January 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Guy,  Wonderful pictures! I have ordered an M8 after having seen the quality images that you and others have been producing in this forum. Funny thing, the same thing happened last year and I bought the DMR!  I just want to improve my post processing skills and look forward to trying the C1 when I get the M8.  Mark
