leicarainman Posted September 11, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Dlux-4 when I'm using it in low light condition with high iso setting. All the pictures have a blue line across the screen. When the camera on lower iso the setting the line shorter and only appear in the bottom of the image. Could someone help me to identified the problem? Also is it worth to send the camera to repair. Thanks for the advise.

adan Posted September 12, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2010 Weel, since no one else has jumped in - it is likely the same problem as here: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/100733-vertical-line-leica-m8.html A flaw in the sensor. Covered by warranty - if that still applies. In the case of the D-lux, it is curved in the final image if the lens is set to the wider end of the zoom range, since Panasonic automatically corrects the lens's barrel distortion by distorting the sensor image in the opposite direction (pincushion). Interesting to see just how much correction is being applied (although I'm sorry YOU had to be the guinea pig!)
