gennfiks Posted September 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I know it is a crazy idea, but did anyone think of reusing the wonderful lens of these cameras for micro 4/3? I know that sensor now is inside the lens and that lens projects on a 2/3" sensor, but may be it could be possible, at least take advantage of a lens if not of the camera. Probably even electronics could be adapted to the contacts of the m4/3 standard and the focus, aperture focal length could be coupled to the camera. Is it even worth thinking about this? Advertisement Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Hi gennfiks, Take a look here D2/LC1 lens for m4/3? . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
farnz Posted September 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2010 The D2's sensor is 2/3", which is 6.6 x 8.8 mm, whereas the m4/3 sensor is 18 x 13.5 mm so the D2 lens's image circle will be too small for the m4/3 sensor. Pete.
nigelb Posted September 9, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 9, 2010 As Pete said, nothing possible here. Let's just accept the Digilux 2/LC1 for the great camera that it is - a bit outdated (therein lies it's beauty) but capable of superb results.
