I have been shooting the first fifty or so shots on my second body now -a second version, firmware 1.09 and although the social agenda dictated boring family shots only, I did notice some difference with my first version.

WB clearly was far more consistent on the display; no more blue shots inbetween.

Exposure appeared to be rock steady, no more variations from one shot to the other and no more occasional whiteout exposures.

Flash control seems to be tweaked. Before I had to dial in EV-1 on the SF24D and EV -2/3 on the camera to get flash exposure to my taste, now it is spot-on straight out of the box.

I have experienced none of the new banding issues yet.

The colour saturation of the LCD is slightly less, more pleasant.

On the whole the camera gives the impression of having a slightly more more stable feel in use,(for want of a better word), not that there was any cause to complain on that account before.

Same dreadful weather here. Just pointed the Digisix out the window and took a reading of the sky: 10 1/3 EV at ISO400. ~1/60s at f5.6 (incident). And this is as much light as we'll see today. The world is b&w, with emhasis on the 'b'.

Jaap: Your findings seem positive, this is good for the rest of us to know.

Same in the UK, you don't need a grey card for white balance, you just point the camera upwards. LOL.

You mean the UK sky sometimes comes in other colors? The Irish sky never seemed to <G>. Here in VT it hit 70 on Sat and over 50 on Sun. - in January!

Cheers,

Sean
