How Do I Know My D2 Sensor Was Replaced

I just got my near mint D2 for $499 including shipping. Loving it! Put on the Heliopan ES 69 right away to protect the front glass. Will post some photos later on.

How do I know my D2 has its CCD replaced by Leica? The serial number is 298XXX and it probably needs to replace the original Sony CCD. Does the firmware tell us anything about it? Or I just need to call Leica USA?

Thanks,

Jeff

I say, don't worry about it.

If the sensor goes out, send the camera for repair. Otherwise, enjoy!

My guess is that most of the bad sensors will already have been repaired. When my D2 came back from sensor replacement, I couldn't see any sign of the change.

Nice picture, BTW.

Thanks, Howard. This is what I think too. Just keep on using it until the CCD issue comes. Or it might never come.;)

I like the color from this little camera. No PS, direct from jpeg.
